My name is Ambreen Afshan. I am an Air Pollution Specialist. I
have been working for the Air Resources Board in Engineering Evaluation Section
for the last three years. I am a strong believer in developing skill sets
to compliment my aspirations. I have
empathy as well as great interest in PECG‘s goals, activities and
requirements. As the President-Elect of
the Fort Sutter Section, I will make sure that our interests and concerns are
heard. My goal as President Elect is to
act as assistant to the president and provide backup to the Director and
President when needed. I plan to familiarize myself with the goals and
plans of the section and corporate PECG and will strive to achieve their goals
and expectations.
My name is Cindy
Chain-Britton, a Hazardous Substances Engineer with Department of Toxic
Substances Control, and a returned member of PECG since March, 2009. I have
experienced two different unions and think this union has done much more for it
members, especially many activities were organized and coordinated by dedicated
section officers who are volunteers. Therefore, I would like to make my
contribution to the Fort Sutter section and work with all officers in this
section on member’s benefits, rights, and other issues. I ask for your
supporting vote.
Earl Withycombe has worked as an Air Resources Engineer, Range
D, and a PECG member, at the Air Resources Board since 2006. He currently works in the Planning and
Technical Support Division as the planning liaison to the South Coast Air
Quality Management District and ARB’s technical lead on the Salton Sea
Restoration Project. Prior to joining
state service, Earl worked for 31 years as an air quality consulting engineer,
first in solo practice and later for a Sacramento firm. Earl has a degree in Aeronautical Engineering
from MIT and is a California registered civil engineer. He has donated time over his career to a
variety of emergency service and environmental organizations, including serving
as a long time board member and past president of Breathe California of
Sacramento-Emigrant Trails (formerly the local American Lung Association
chapter) and the Environmental Council of Sacramento. Early in his volunteer career, Earl served
two terms on the Sierra County Board of Supervisors.
I have worked for
the Air Resources Board as an Air Resources Engineer for over 20 years. In addition, I have served as an officer for
Fort Sutter Section in the capacity of treasurer for two years, secretary for two
years and as Vice President Rank and File for one year. If elected as
treasurer, I shall perform the duties specified in the section bylaws which are
to maintain the funds allocated for Ft Sutter activities, keep accurate
accounting of all expenditures, and prepare financial reports.
