2/26/08 Membership Luncheon at Broiler Steak House
Thank you to those who attended Fort Sutter PECG's Membership Luncheon at Broiler Steak House in Sacramento, held on Tuesday, February 26, 2008.
Our guest speaker was Mr. Dave Low:
- Chair of the Labor Coalition, of which PECG is a member
- Assistant Legislative Director of the California School Employees Association
- Member of the Governor's Public Employee Post Employment Benefits Commission
Mr. Low discussed the findings of the Governor's Public Employee Post Employment Benefits Commission and provided his assessment of what the findings mean in terms of legislative changes.

Judges Needed for the Sacramento Regional Science and Engineering Fair
Dear PECG Member:
Please consider volunteering as a judge for the Sacramento Regional Science and Engineering Fair on Saturday, March 24, 2007. Judges will be evaluating science and engineering projects from area students in 6th through 12th grades. These fairs are important community events that help cultivate the next generation of scientists and engineers in the region.

Since we are so close to the Fair date, please fax your application to 916/442-4182. If you do not have access to a fax machine, please call Nadine Westcott in the Sacramento PECG office at 916/446-0400 to volunteer.

Nominations for Ft. Sutter Section Officers are now being accepted for the next term beginning in October 2004. We need concerned individuals who are committed to protecting our rights to fair and adequate compensation, and who have a willingness to help their fellow PECG members by serving as an officer in the Ft. Sutter Section. The Officers' positions open for nominations are Director, President, President-Elect, Vice President Supervisory, Vice President Rank-and-file, Secretary, Treasurer, and Membership Chair. Nominations for office may be made by email to: kknott@oshpd.state.ca.gov or by calling Ken Knott at (916) 324-9066. Nominations are due by 5:00 PM on August 6th.
